Even though the festival run of the Shiny New World short film seemed ever-lasting, it’s now slowly coming to an end. After 60+ festival selections (and still a few pending as we speak) and quite some awards we can definitely say that Shiny New World is ready for the next step. The Netherlands Film Fund agreed with us and generously decided to support us with funding for the production development of the Shiny New World feature film!

So YES, an enormous next step for Shiny New World! 🤩 It doesn’t mean we can actually start shooting the feature film juuust yet, but it’s a great development for the upcoming process of the feature film. Now we can invest our time and energy into the production development of the film like finding a killer cast, creating appealing storyboards etcetera.

It’s needless to say that we are over the bloody moon! Expanding the Shiny New World universe, together with director & writer Jan van Gorkum, is a dream we are very much looking forward to. Last year we did a test shoot to see how we could make a demon come to life and good news: we can give you a little taster below 😏 This was only a test shoot, but we cannot wait to further develop the world of Shiny New World (and all its inhabitants). This is only the beginning!
